Depending on the type of your home and the type of air conditioning unit there are different options for installation:
AC Standard Installation
This type of installation is chosen when the air-conditioner has to be installed quickly without damaging the walls and finishes.
Standard installation involves 3 meters of pipe: cable, insulator, drainage, one hole, hanging the indoor and outdoor units onK1 brackets.
The outdoor unit is placed on the facade of the building, the drainage hose is routed outwards and the condensate will drip down parallel to the wall of the building.
The standard version involves hanging the outdoor unit on brackets directly under the window. If the outdoor unit does not pass through an open window or if the outdoor unit must be positioned away from the window or on a building wall without windows then the cost of external work on the facade (climber, hoist, etc.) is added to the Standard installation cost.
(Outside Drainage).
This type of air conditioning installation is fundamentally different from the Standard variant in the regard that all the connections are hidden in the wall or in the plasterboard treatment of the wall.
All work is divided into 2 stages.
The first stage: after coordination with the customer of the internal and external unit's location the drilling (if the walls are not covered with plasterboard), the conclusion of communications in the hole, installation of the external unit, and pressurization of the system take place.
The second stage (after all civil and finishing works):
installation of the internal block, starting up the split system.
As a result, only the indoor unit of the air-conditioner is added to the interior of the room, and the outdoor unit is placed on the facade under the window.
(Drainage is led down the drain).
TThis type of installation is ideal in every aspect. It takes a considerable amount of time and requires post-installation finishings but only this type of installation allows you to fully integrate the split system into your home.
Correct installation means hiding absolutely all communications. As a result, the room block is situated in a comfortable place, only the outer block is put in front of the building or in a specially allocated place and the system of freon pipes, the electric cable, and drainage are hidden. The drainage is led in a general sewerage system (with the obligatory observance of a slope, if the slope is impossible to provide the drainage pump is installed), the electro cable is led directly in the house power supply system, and the freon line goes inside walls.
For correct installation, the specialists prove the drainage to the sewer riser at the first stage of installation. The connection to the riser pipe is made by the customers’ means and by specialists from the plumbing trade. It should be noted that the drainage system is unpressurized (the customer must ensure that the connection is made through a special device, a water trap, in the form of a siphon. If the drainage is connected to the storm drainage riser a non-return valve must be installed in addition to the siphon).
To achieve all of the above one should start planning the installation scheme of a split system at the earliest stage of repair works, even the sketching of a design project. Only engineers, not designers, can determine the right place for the installation of an air conditioner to comply with above-mentioned points.
This type of installation is used when installing air conditioners on the lower floors of a building, in offices, shops, cottages and country houses, etc. A peculiarity of this type of installation is that the outside unit is installed not from the window, but "from the ground", even if the sizes of window panes allow this. In order to avoid locating the refrigerant circuit on the facade, the outside units are raised almost to the level of the room unit. It is worth noting that only if the room unit is located on the inside of the exterior wall there is no need to hide the communications with a 6 x 6 cm plastic duct. However, a 1.6 x 1.6 cm cable duct that carries the electrical cables will still complement your interior. Basically, the indoor unit can be placed anywhere (not necessarily on an outside wall) but in this case, a 6x6cm plastic box will appear in the interior decoration. The maximum lifting height of the external unit is 6 meters unless special equipment or a climber are used.
The weight limit of the external unit is 60 kg. based on the manual lifting method
External threats such as vandals and icicles falling from the roof must not be disregarded. The unit can be protected from vandals with a vandal-resistant grille. If the building has a pitched roof a protective roof can protect it from objects falling from above. With a vandal-proof grille, the canopy is no longer needed.
This type of air conditioning installation can be carried out in any of the installation variants described above.
The fundamental difference is that there are up to 5 indoor units per outdoor unit.
The challenge is to choose the best location for the specific room where the external and internal units are located.
The standard installation process for a split system air conditioner includes the following steps:
1. Drilling a hole in the wall for the freon line
2. Mounting the outdoor unit of the air conditioner
3. Installation of the freon line up to 3 meters
4. Installation of drainage system
5. Installation of the indoor unit of the air-conditioner
6. Installation of electrical connections
7. Vacuuming of the freon line, pressure test (commissioning work)
8. Start-up of the air conditioning system (air conditioner)
